Laurence Pears

Laurence trained at LAMDA and is delighted to be working with Mischief Theatre Company once more having just finished the UK Tour of Peter Pan Goes Wrong. Last year he performed in Red Rose Chain Theatre Company’s summer rep season Theatre in the Forest, playing Dromio of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors and Edgar Linton in Wuthering Heights. Laurence has performed in the US at the American Shakespeare Centre with a new adaptation of Brudermord (Hamlet) with Hidden Room Theatre Company. He has also toured the US playing Trinculo in The Tempest with actors from the London stage. Previous theatre credits include: Mikael in Marivaux’s La Dispute (Soho Theatre); Old Man in Hanging Around (National Theatre); Stanislavski in Nina (MacOwen Theatre); Henry Swann in the one-man show Lost Souls Music (Pleasance Theatre) and Doctor Funnel in A Hole in the Earth (Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds). Previous TV and film credits include: Cecil in the first and second series of BBC2’s Wild West featuring Dawn French and Catherine Tate, and as Joe Gallow in Charles Dance’s feature film Ladies in Lavender starring Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith.
